I am a Licensed Mental Health Therapist and AASECT Certified Sex Therapist based in New York City. I graduated with my Master’s in Counseling in Mental Health and Wellness and a dual degree in LGBT Health, Education, and Social Services from New York University. I also hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a background in Women and Gender Studies from George Mason University. I identify as a queer South Asian immigrant woman. I’m also neurodivergent and non-monogamous. Aside from being a therapist, I have volunteered as a crisis counselor for the Trevor Project, worked as a graduate assistant for the New York University LGBTQ+ Center, and helped in the planning of social justice conferences. I approach therapy with the intention to understand and connect with my clients as fellow humans. My own journey as a queer South Asian neurodivergent woman, along with the experiences of those close to me, deeply shape my approach. Building a genuine relationship with my clients is my top priority, as I believe it is the biggest predictor of therapeutic success. As a person of color, I actively challenge oppressive structures that have long been dominated by Western white culture. Jiddu Krishnamurti said that it is no measure of health to be adjusted to a society that is profoundly sick and I do not see therapy as a way to numb the pain that is caused by systemic oppression but rather a way to empower clients to have compassion for themselves.

Hi, I’m Miranda, a somatic sex therapist with over seven years of experience helping women reconnect with their bodies, heal emotional wounds, and rediscover pleasure. My journey began as a massage therapist, where I specialized in fascial and structural work. It was during this time that I truly saw how deeply our bodies store emotions and how physical tension often reflects emotional blockages. Over time, I transitioned into somatic sex therapy, with a focus on how we carry emotions in the body and how these stored feelings can block our ability to experience pleasure, self-awareness, and confidence. I also specialize in nervous system regulation, guiding clients in managing stress and feeling more grounded within their bodies. How I Can Help You Explore Your Sensuality Sensuality is all about feeling fully connected to your body, allowing yourself to experience deeper pleasure, joy, and intimacy. Life can sometimes pull us away from this part of ourselves due to stress, trauma, or societal pressure, but the beautiful truth is that it’s possible to reconnect and rediscover this powerful sense of embodiment. In our work together, I’ll gently guide you through tools and techniques designed to help you safely explore and expand your sensuality. Together, we’ll tap into what feels empowering and exciting for you. Here’s how: Embodiment Practices: I’ll help you slow down and become more aware of your body’s sensations, teaching you how to truly feel through practices like breathwork, mindful movement, or focused touch. Self-Pleasure Techniques: We’ll approach self-pleasure as a healing tool, free from judgment. I’ll help you find the right rhythms, techniques, and pressure points that feel good, making these experiences more meaningful and enjoyable. Breathwork: Breath is one of the most powerful tools for connecting with your sensuality. I’ll show you how to use breathing techniques to release tension, calm your nervous system, and deepen your connection to pleasure. Movement & Touch: By guiding you through simple yet powerful movements, we’ll release trapped emotions and open up pathways to more organic, flowing sensual expression. Using the Right Products: I’ll introduce you to products like oils, toys, or relaxation tools that can enhance your sensual journey, nurturing and supporting the connection you’re rebuilding with your body. Why Work With Me? If you feel disconnected from your body and your sensual self—whether you’ve never experienced an orgasm, are dealing with numbness, or you’re seeking to rebuild confidence—I am here to help. With a gentle, trauma-informed approach, I offer a safe, non-judgmental space for you to explore and expand your sensuality, guiding you toward reclaiming the pleasure that is your birthright. As a practitioner, I’m also on my own journey of learning and growth, which means I’ll be continuously bringing in new tools, insights, and techniques to support your healing. I believe deeply in the wisdom of Buddha’s teaching that we are always students, learning and evolving together. This philosophy keeps my work fresh, adaptable, and open to the latest insights that can further your personal growth. Let’s Work Together! If you’re ready to reconnect with your body, reclaim your sensuality, and rediscover the pleasure you deserve, I’d love to work with you. Together, we can explore the depths of your body and mind in a way that feels safe, empowering, and truly transformative.
