When I first started filming erotic videography I quickly realised that watching myself on camera was a lot harder than I thought it would be. I was hyper aware of how my body moved, the noises I made and my ever changing facial expressions.

In the beginning, I curated my work carefully, showing only my “best” angles  and constantly monitoring how I looked while I was filming. However this started to change when I switched  from my phone to a camera.

Hi, I’m Lissa! You can find out more about me at the bottom of this article.

The biggest change was no longer being on selfie mode, no longer watching how I am moving, how I look.  Without the constant feedback of my own reflection, I let go of the need to control everything. I began to  sink into the moment, allowing my content to become raw and unfiltered.

This shift brought a new power to my work, an authenticity I had been striving for but hadn’t fully achieved yet.

My creations became less about the physical and more about capturing the connection between body, mind and environment.  Somewhere amongst theses changes, I started admiring my body, my movements, I saw myself in pleasure  and felt secure.

I no longer found it difficult to watch myself on camera.

This meant I spent much more time moving through the footage, editing, creating, finding inspiration in the visual. By elevating the visual I reminded myself that pleasure is an art form.

And so began my current series of mini movies, an exploration into pleasure and aesthetics. Challenging expectations doesn’t always mean confrontation, it can simply mean creating something truer, and my goal is to create truth.

I’ve always been drawn to organic beauty and simplicity, and my editing style reflects that.

I favour grainy  textures and minimal effects, creating work that hopefully feels honest and grounded. Work that makes you feel sensual and comforted all in one, a safe place to find your arousal.

While filming I focus on real, unfiltered pleasure. Allowing myself to connect with sensation and  surroundings without the weight of performance.

My mini-movies show me at my most bare and vulnerable,  stripped down to my simplest form and that vulnerability becomes a strength, allowing me to capture not just  what I’m doing, but how it feels to exist in those fleeting moments of pleasure and stillness.

I avoid catering  to the expectations of porn, and instead take ownership of my body, my gaze and reclaim the erotic as  something I can be proud of.

At the heart of it all, my creations are a love letter to the world, an invitation to take time for your pleasure, to bathe in simple sensations, deep fantasies, and whole experiences. They are a testament to my belief that pleasure is as natural and worthy as the landscapes I film within.
