Lilithfoxx is a Texas-based intimacy coach, with especially strong experience in helping people navigate kink or non-monogamy journeys. She offers services both online and in-person to individuals and couples as well as offering consulting and educational services. We sat down with Lilith to hear about her accomplished and varied work.

Could you introduce yourself and what you do?

I’m Lilithfoxx! I’m a BIPOC, queer, kinky, and polyamorous marketing professional turned Board-certified sexologist, AASECT Certified Sexuality Educator, consultant, and coach based out of Houston, TX. I’m a graduate of the Kinsey Institute’s Human Sexuality Intensive program, and certified by Johns Hopkins University in psychological first aid.
My work focuses on the intersectionality of marginalized identities, alternative sexuality, and social justice.

I’m informed by my personal and professional experiences, providing BDSM and non-monogamy cultural competency consulting for clinical, academic, and research settings, and facilitating workshops on sexuality justice and inclusion. My expertise has been featured in several publications including Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Kinkly, Men’s Health, and in LiveJasmin’s ‘Life in Red’ docu-series.

What are the specific services you offer?

I offer a variety of services including individual and couples coaching, workshops on topics ranging from BDSM negotiations to creating inclusive kink spaces, and consulting for businesses in the sex-positive and adult industries.
Additionally, I provide educational content, such as guides and online courses, to help individuals and professionals alike deepen their understanding of sexuality and inclusivity. My coaching services are personalized, addressing specific needs around intimacy, communication, and relationship dynamics.

What was your journey into this world?

For well over a decade, I’ve been a member of alternative sexuality communities. As someone with disabilities and chronic pain, I’ve had to navigate my own path in the world of kink and non-monogamy, which has given me unique insights and a strong desire to support others on similar journeys.
As I began to transition to more of a mentorship and educator role within them, I decided to formally learn to do it better. That’s when I discovered The American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT) and decided to become a certified sexuality educator.
My studies at the Kinsey Institute and certification in psychological first aid from Johns Hopkins University further solidified my commitment to this field. My partner at the time didn’t support me, so I told him “a degree won’t wake up one morning and tell me it doesn’t love me anymore.”, broke up with him, and jumped right in.
I also discovered that plenty of businesses in the adult-industry and sex-positive space need help with their marketing, so I utilize my professional skills as a senior-level digital marketing professional of over 10 years.

Can you talk about your own experience with kink and why it matters to you?

I first entered kink as a means of empowering and liberating myself sexually, and working through sexual trauma in a consensual and controlled environment. It has been instrumental in my healing journey, as well as helped me find and cultivate my family of choice.
Kink saved my life, and I want to help other people explore their own journey within it.

How would you describe your approach to what you do in a nutshell?

In a nutshell, my approach is inclusive, empathetic, and informed by personal experience. I strive to create safe, welcoming spaces where individuals can explore their sexuality without judgment. My style is conversational and supportive, making complex topics accessible and engaging. I emphasize the importance of understanding and respecting diverse experiences and communication styles, particularly for neurodivergent individuals and those from marginalized communities.

Who should seek your services?

Anyone looking to deepen their understanding of sexuality, improve their intimate relationships, or navigate the complexities of kink and non-monogamy could benefit from my services.
I can help individuals and couples enhance their communication, build stronger connections, and create more fulfilling sexual and intimate experiences. My workshops and consulting services are also valuable for professionals and businesses in the sex-positive and adult industries, helping them create more inclusive and effective practices.

How do you think your identity informs your coaching?

My identity as a BIPOC, queer, neurodivergent, kinky, and polyamorous individual deeply informs my coaching. It allows me to approach my work with a high level of empathy and understanding for the unique challenges faced by those with similar identities.

I bring my lived experiences into my coaching, ensuring that my services are not only inclusive but also resonant with the diverse backgrounds of my clients. This perspective helps me create more effective and personalized strategies for my clients, fostering environments where they feel seen, heard, and supported.

What do you wish more people knew about sex and/or kink?

I wish more people understood that sex and kink are deeply personal and can be incredibly positive experiences when approached with respect, consent, and open communication. There’s no one-size-fits-all approach, and it’s important to explore and understand what works best for each individual or relationship. I also want people to know that kink can be a safe and consensual way to explore desires and boundaries, and that it’s okay to seek help and education to navigate these spaces effectively.

What is a small and unexpected pleasure that you get from your work?

One small and unexpected pleasure I get from my work is witnessing those ‘aha’ moments when clients or workshop participants realize something new about themselves or their relationships. It’s incredibly rewarding to see people gain confidence and a deeper understanding of their own needs and desires. These moments remind me why I do this work and the positive impact it can have on people’s lives.

What is your opinion on the current sexual wellness movement?

The current sexual wellness movement is a positive step towards greater acceptance and understanding of diverse sexualities and identities. However, there’s still a lot of work to be done in terms of inclusivity and accessibility. It’s crucial that we continue to challenge stigmas and create spaces where all individuals feel safe and supported in exploring their sexuality. The movement needs to prioritize marginalized voices and ensure that the resources and education provided are truly inclusive.

What are your hopes for the future in the sensual world?

I hope for a future where sexuality is celebrated as a natural and integral part of human experience, free from shame and stigma.

I envision a world where everyone has access to accurate and inclusive sex education, and where diverse sexualities and identities are respected and understood. In the kink and alternative sexuality communities, I hope to see more emphasis on consent, communication, and inclusivity, creating safer and more fulfilling experiences for all.

Any closing thoughts?

I just want to emphasize that everyone’s journey with sexuality is unique, and it’s important to approach it with curiosity, respect, and an open mind. If you’re looking for support or education in this area, don’t hesitate to reach out. My goal is to create a space where you can explore, learn, and grow in a way that feels authentic and empowering for you. Thank you for the opportunity to share my story and insights!
