I’ve always had a kinky side – loved the idea of my photos and videos being used for someone’s pleasure, or wanting to feel like an object and degraded, or ordered around like a worthless slave. But growing up in a conservative environment in Japan, I found these sides of me often frowned upon. That all changed when I moved to the UK 5 years ago. Now I do all the above (and more), enjoying my very dirty side, mainly as a sub, slave, and fuckdoll. I’m also queer and polyamorous too, and my favourite activity is going to monthly BDSM parties with my kinky friends to get flogged and degraded in front of…lots of strangers! Who doesn’t love that??
Who are you?
I’m Sakura. I’m a kinky submissive digital content creator and an online sex worker.
The mission.
My mission is to empower sex workers and encourage sexual pleasure for all.
Sakura is sweet as pie with a glint in her eye. She’s an Aries and she’s definitely on fire. She’s happiest on a sunny day in the park, walking barefoot on the grass. She likes to drink mulled wine. She has a septum piercing and wears pink streaks in her hair. Her smile is warm and mischievous. Her lips are vampy red. Meet Sakura.
Your experience as a content creator in a nutshell?
Liberating. I don’t see Japanese people represented in Western porn. I would still be categorised as interracial. Content creation has been liberating for me because it represents all types of people.
On OnlyFans I think I am still categorised in “Asian” “Japanese” boxes, and to be honest, I still market myself as such because I think it’s a uniqueness in the market. Sure, there could be a degree of fetishisation in some respects, but I have not had direct negative experiences around my ethnicity, so I am proud and loud about being Japanese and doing porn in the West.
Doing content creation has also really expanded my definition of porn. I have this long-term fan who I make a custom for every week. He likes ‘challenge’ type videos. For example, ‘how far can I put my hand up my pussy?’ or ‘how fast can I come?’ – challenge based. It feels like a vlog when I do it. It’s fun, personable, and light-hearted, and you don’t see that kind of content in mainstream porn.
Content creation has shown me that porn is not only for watching with the intention of jerking off or masturbating. It’s bigger than that. It’s a form of entertainment, and many of my fans people enjoy it as a more casual, light-hearted watch that doesn’t revolve around having an orgasm.
I also find that my fans love authenticity. After all, that’s where OnlyFans differs from mainstream, free porn – the level of personal connection and genuineness. I have had customs where my fans asked me to simply talk about my personal life around poly, BDSM, and sex work – with no nudity. I also do this series called “Dirty Talk Fridays” where I just candidly (but sexily!) talk about my fantasies.
What was your journey into the industry?
I got into the BDSM world 7 years ago when my partner (who I’m still with today!) first introduced me to it. It was always something inside of me but I was too scared to open up to it. We went to a lot of BDSM parties together. I’m polyamorous, and my other partner is a content creator, so he recently got me into that world. We film a lot of content together. I started doing more solo stuff because I found that my fans really like that, and it also can be logistically easier to do solo videos.
What’s your favourite thing about what you do?
My favourite thing about my work is making my fans happy in any way and knowing that I do the same for them. There’s a real feeling of mutual respect. This has been such an incredible, positive experience so far.
What’s the biggest challenge of being a content creator?
It’s a lot of hard work. You have to post consistently and keep the momentum going. If I take a month off, it will directly affect my work and income much more than if I took time off in a normal 9-5 job. You have to always be on top of it; hence, why burnout is such a thing for sex workers. You’re running your own small business.
What do you think about your fans?
Fans on OnlyFans are lovely. At the end of the day, they are willing to pay for the work you do, and they really respect sex workers. I know it’s not the same for everyone, but I’ve been lucky and have never had a single bad interaction. I try to respect them, and they do the same. For example, if I can’t film because I’m on my period, they will be understanding.
What’s your dom type?
Someone who respects boundaries and consent as a baseline. Then, once I know someone respects those things, I like someone who is really primal, who takes control and makes the scene happen. I have a degradation kink, but I also have a praise kink, so I’m into both hard doms and soft/sensual doms.
What do you like about being submissive?
What really turns me on as a submissive is relinquishing power and being completely in the hands of somebody else. My kinks are being objectified- used as a doll or a toy to somebody.
I have also gotten into body writing through being a submissive content creator. I love being in a vulnerable position because day to day, I’m very secure and confident, so it’s really exciting to switch that up in sex.
