Between launching Menstrual Hygiene Day to co-authoring the official definition of menstrual health, it’s safe to say that Danielle Keiser truly is the Queen of Menstrual Health.

Since 2013, she has worked to advance menstruation, and has been a pioneer, a consultant, a coach, a speaker, an educator and an exited social entrepreneur.

Today, she is a Holistic Women’s Wellness Coach and offers her guidance to individuals navigating hormonal health challenges and the menopausal transition.

Tell us more about yourself and what you do…🦹‍♀️

I am a globally recognized educator, advocate, and coach specializing in menstrual and hormonal health. With over a decade of experience leading initiatives like the Menstrual Health Hub, Menstrual Health & Hygiene Day (celebrating on the 28th of May!) and co-authoring the official definition of menstrual health, I am beyond passionate about breaking taboos and spreading understanding through menstrual education.
I combine 12+ years of expertise in this field with ecstatic creativity to design tools, workshops and programs that empower individuals and organizations, including men, to embrace menstrual cycle health as a foundation for equity, wisdom and well-being.

What was your journey into this world?

My sexual awakening began when I had a spontaneous and electric encounter with a young Dutch man in Amsterdam in 2017, who literally planted the seed of my sexual goddess to bloom over the subsequent years.

What do the first 60 minutes of your day look like?

I wake up, expose myself to real light to get my cortisol pumping; drink a bunch of warm lemon/ginger water. Then I do some light grounding exercises for my ADHD, including some stretching and embodiment.
I proceed to make myself a protein-rich breakfast and take my vitamins, drinking coffee only afterwards and only during the first half of my cycle.

Why do you do what you do?

I do what I do because it’s important and I’ve been doing it for a long time already, so it feels natural to me now.

What is an unexpected pleasure you discovered in your work?

An unexpected pleasure in my work has been discovering that the menstrual cycle is a boundless well of wisdom. No matter how much I’ve studied it, there’s always more to learn—new connections, insights, and depths that surprise and humble me.
The cycle has become my greatest teacher, constantly revealing layers about biology, psychology, creativity, and even social dynamics.
This endless learning keeps my work fresh and inspires me to approach each day with curiosity.
It reminds me that the menstrual cycle isn’t just a physiological process—it’s a mirror of life’s rhythms, offering lessons in resilience, balance, and transformation. The joy of uncovering these insights not only deepens my personal growth, but also fuels my passion for sharing this!

What should more people know about your work?

More people should know that my work is revolutionizing the way we understand and engage with menstrual and menopausal health, both at the individual and systemic levels.
My work embodies radical compassion, visionary thinking, and fearless advocacy! By connecting these natural cycles to broader themes of productivity, relationships, and workplace inclusivity, I am working to create a paradigm shift that challenges outdated systems rooted in linear productivity and invites a cyclical, more human approach.

What’s your superpower?

I bring the revolutionary power of cyclical awareness to life! My superpower is my ability to bridge science and soul—connecting deep, evidence-based knowledge of menstrual and menopausal health with profound empathy, creativity, and a passion for social justice.
I like to think I have a unique gift for turning complex, often taboo topics into accessible, transformative insights that inspire others to reimagine their lives, relationships, and workplaces.
Whether through workshops, coaching, or public speaking, I empower people to embrace their natural rhythms, challenge outdated norms, and create meaningful change in their own lives and the systems around them.
I am not just educating; I have been building a movement that’s as practical as it is transformational.

We love vices. What’s yours?

My vices are costume parties at dark and dirty Berlin clubs in the late hours of the night when most people have left, the time when I can really take space and DANCE. Also baklava and carrot cake.

Who are your sensual inspirations?

My sensual inspirations are women who are embodied, state their boundaries, and are generous with their wisdom.
