Short answer is 'no'. I enjoy tying and photographing a wide range of people with a variety of body types, personalities, and experiences.

I consider myself still very much to be discovering shibari even though I have spent years investing in learning it. I have attended a number of weekend workshops in Studio Anatomie in London, run a monthly peer event in Cardiff, and go as often as I can to events in Gloucester.

Rope bondage is (or can be) dangerous. The suspensions look exciting, but they're not to be rushed into. If you were to tie with me, or anyone else, you would need to understand the risks and warning signs. We would discuss experiences, relevant medical history, methods to communicate clearly and ways to check for any nerve impingement or circulatory issues. Then we would practice some very simple and basic shapes and ties to see how we both feel tying.
